The aim of our Mast Climber training course is to provide the candidate with the essential knowledge and skill to perform his tasks to the highest level.
Mast Climber training courses last between 1-2 days depending upon the requirements of the participants (refresher courses, intensive courses etc.), with partakers developing essential skills like machine operation, health and safety, and accepted good practice.

What is a Mast Climber? (Mobile Elevated Working Platform (MEWP)?
Often referred to as a cherry picker, Mobile Elevated Working Platform (MEWP) have been used since the 1940’s to aid in all types of maintenance of buildings and other such structures they come in many different forms such as self propelled (Battery ,LPG & Diesel), Lorry Mounted, stabilised, Scissor and are used widely in the industrial and construction industries . Counterweighted to allow them to hold an amount of people and tools and locate in various positions, these MEWP combine a number of components to provide safety and ease of use due to massive functionality i.e. articulation, telescopic, boom lift (main), boom lift (secondary), cage swivel . This type is a self build as you go and is a vertical lift only.

Assessment report
Pro Trainers UK follow a specific set of guidelines as determined by NPORS & ITSSAR to ensure your staff are trained to the highest standard. We utilise the following points to create an assessment report specific to the training course, creating confidence in knowing employees are competent in all course requirements.
Pre-operational checks: Fluid levels, Tyres & wheels, Brakes (including parking brake), Instruments, Horn, Lights & Flashing beacon, Hydraulics, Safety Devices, Steering, Battery Levels, Emergency Lowering Device, Safety Harness, Securing Point, Outriggers (if fitted). Etc.
Operator Safety: Checks Safety Harness before use. Wears correct safety harness. Secures harness to correct anchoring point. – overhead obstructions – power lines – trees – soft verges – weather conditions etc
Route Safety: Checked ground conditions. Checked overhead obstructions / power lines. Checked working area and placed appropriate warning signs, Ensured route to working area is clear.
Site Safety Travelled to working area and set up machine in preparation for work. Elevated platform to predetermined heights and locations. Elevated platform to maximum height.
Controls Used Safetly & Competantly: Travelled and set up machine in confined area. Used all controls to manoeuvre machine into position. Carried out simulated / actual work task. Lowered platform and prepared for travel. Travelled to parking area.
