  • Manoeuvring: Evaluation of the ability to navigate the forklift through a designed obstacle course, demonstrating control and safety in both laden and unladen states, forward and reverse.

  • Alignment: Accuracy in performing 90º turns in both directions, essential for precise operation in constrained spaces typical of rough terrain settings.

  • Transportation: Skill in driving the forklift across varied rough terrain scenarios, including ramps, uneven ground, and around potential hazards, with both laden and unladen loads.

  • Stacking: Ability to safely stack and de-stack loads at different heights, proving adeptness in handling materials in front of a vertical face and within pallet racking in unpredictable terrain.

  • Attachments: Proficiency in using specialised attachments, such as the Crane Jib, to lift and move suspended loads under the guidance of a banksman, showcasing versatility in handling diverse load types.

Additionally, the test now includes a written component, where candidates are expected to achieve a minimum score of 80%.
