In the past 12 months, Toyota began to introduce its very first hydrostatic transmission on to its range of diesel Tonero trucks in the 2.0 to 2.5 tons range. The great thing about the hydrostatic transmission is that it gives the users much better driving and operating experience that this system offers. Now, Toyota is making brand new models available for their customers to buy, with the 2.5 tons LPG and the 3.0 to 3.5 tons diesel and LPG options now available with hydrostatic transmission as standard.
The CeMAT Launch
The Toyota Tonero HST was among some of the biggest highlights of the CeMAT 2014 intralogistics fair, which was based in Hanover, Germany. It was among some of the best in its class of material handling equipment on show, and was among a number of different material handling products and solutions. In fact, the show saw many more product launches than it has ever done in its recent past, making this particular show one of the most popular in recent years. These brand new and innovative Tonero HST models have all of the features that you would expect to find in the extensive Tonero range, which includes the custom made Toyota industrial engine, the Toyota SAS (System of Active Stability), which helps to provide users with the maximum safety and stability, as well as top notch visibility.
Craig Walby, Director Product Management at Toyota Material Handling Europe stated in a recent interview that customers would be happy with the new Tonero range of trucks.
“With the launch of our first hydrostatic Tonero trucks at the end of 2013, Toyota opened up new sales opportunities. Offering both hydrostatic and torque convertor means that all customers can benefit from the advantages offered by Tonero, no matter their driving preference or application demands. We are pleased to see that our care for bringing exceptional efficiency and the quality of our products are appreciated by our customers.”
The Tonero range of hydrostatic transmission continues to develop and will be concluded by the early part of 2015.
